What is Strategic Academy?ストラテジックアカデミーとは

Strategic Academy is an educational program hosted by our company (Strategic Partners Inc.) for internal personnel and partners. Through learning and work at the Academy, we cultivate more individuals who can execute tasks with a strategic perspective, doing so more efficiently.

Based on the effective and practical “6e” strategic framework, this Academy provides comprehensive learning across six categories: “1. Research & Analysis,” “2. Corporate Strategy,” “3. Business Strategy,” “4. Marketing,” “5. Management,” and “6. Operations.” The goal is for participants to gain the strategic understanding, planning skills, and ability to smoothly transition to operational execution required for their specific roles.

Courses are tailored to specific roles and consist of four types:
① Strategist Course
② Producer Course
③ Account Executive (Sales) Course
④ Solution Manager Course

*This training is not open to the general public and is available only to our employees and partners.

Background of the Strategic Academy's Launch

The work of consultants, producers, directors, and other practitioners tends to be highly personalized and often relies heavily on experience. Consequently, these tasks lack reproducibility, leading to inconsistent outcomes and difficulties in training new talent. Furthermore, there is a risk that proposals and actions driven by the biases or assumptions of individuals in charge may backfire.

Meanwhile, new insights emerge in the field in response to changes in the market environment and technology. However, these insights are often not systematically accumulated or shared. Academic knowledge also remains underutilized within the organization, failing to be fully applied to practical work.

Against this backdrop, we are establishing an internal academy as a place for our employees and partners to learn the “6e” framework. This transformative framework integrates practical and research-based insights. By ensuring all members share a common foundation for thinking, we will cultivate talent with strong execution capabilities and high reproducibility.

Purpose of Operating Strategic Academy

1. Strengthening Organizational Capability

By increasing the number of personnel who understand the “6e” framework across functional boundaries and can discuss and execute within the same framework, we enhance the entire organization’s coordination and execution capabilities.

2. Promoting Holistic Understanding

To derive fundamental solutions for increasingly complex and diverse client challenges, the ability to grasp the overall structure—rather than relying on fragmented knowledge—is essential. The Academy cultivates strategic thinking by providing cross-disciplinary learning across management, strategy, and expression perspectives.

3. Sharing Reproducible Insights

We build a foundation where anyone can replicate results by accumulating and sharing formalized knowledge—insights grounded in practice—rather than relying on individual rules of thumb.
3. Sharing Reproducible Insights Rather than relying on individual rules of thumb, we accumulate and share insights backed by practice as formal knowledge. This creates a foundation where anyone can reproduce results.

Fields of Study in 6e at the Academyアカデミーで学ぶ6eの分野

01Survey analysis

Based on the 『6e』 framework, research and analysis are crucial for identifying challenges faced by companies and their services/products, formulating hypotheses, validating them, and designing optimal strategies. By analyzing findings, we review current strategies and derive guidelines for strategic planning.

02Business Strategy

Strategic design and management are crucial for ensuring the reliable implementation of business strategies. However, strategic design and management require guiding principles such as “What does the company aim to achieve?”, “What kind of company should it be from society’s perspective?”, and “What actions should the company take?” This connects to the formulation of business strategies and strategic planning that addresses every phase of corporate operations.

03Business strategy

Corporate strategy and company-wide strategy concern the entire enterprise or corporate group, designing the selection and abandonment of businesses and resource allocation among multiple businesses. In contrast, business strategy (or competitive strategy) designs how to build and maintain competitive advantage at the level of individual business units.

04Marketing

We plan all marketing activities—including product strategy, pricing strategy, promotional strategies such as PR, web, events, mass media, in-store promotions, OOH, and campaigns, as well as distribution and sales strategies—based on the derived marketing concept, and execute proposals aligned with the creative direction.

Fundamentally, we consider and execute based on the 4Ps. The 4Ps represent the primary controllable elements within the marketing mix, one of the processes for formulating and executing marketing strategy. They are named after the initial letters of Product, Price, Place, and Promotion.

05Management

Management refers primarily to the methods used to manage various resources, assets, risks, and other elements within a business context, aiming to optimize operational effectiveness. While management is generally translated as “control,” the various management theories developed from management science encompass not only the meaning of ‘control’ but also elements such as “evaluation, analysis, selection, improvement, avoidance, integration, planning, coordination, direction, control, and organization.” The comprehensive concept encompassing these elements is called management activities.

06Operation

Once a strategy is established, it is not easily changed. However, as the strategy is implemented, it is crucial to verify its effectiveness and results, and to make improvements where bottlenecks are identified. In operations, following the PDCA cycle (repeating the four stages: Plan → Do → Check → Act), post-implementation reviews are conducted on the results of executed strategies. Feedback from these reviews is used to refine the strategy, making it more precise.

Note 1) What is a strategist (corporate strategist)?

Strategist is a new type of profession that “supports client companies by making a one-stop effort from strategic planning (*2) to execution support (*3).”
You may think that a profession close to a strategist is a consultant, but a consultant is a profession in strategy formulation,
and does not take care of tactics (product production, solution construction, organizational design, etc.).
In this way, it cannot be denied that the specialized human resources that support client companies are partial support such as consultants and creators. It is true that it is possible to provide highly effective measures because it is a specialized service. At present, corporate activities of customers are carried out in a very wide range. Therefore, it seems that specialized services alone cannot solve the essential problems of companies.

Yes, corporate activities are said to be “complicated”, and the steering in the midst of all the various factors is directly linked to business results. There are many different things you can do to adapt to the changing market environment. That is exactly why there is a strategist. “Because you can understand the strategy, it is possible to use the tactics (product production, solution construction, organizational design, etc.) to maximize the effect of the strategy, and to maximize the effect of the planned strategy.” You can also “execute”.

When I think about it again, in the past, historical strategists such as Akira Morozuka and Kansuke Yamamoto were active. Currently, we are shifting to an economic war centered on companies.
Therefore, the existence and training of strategists are important.

Note 2) What is strategic planning?

Strategic planning refers to the structure of management and planning, including the strategy level of “from strategy to planning, from planning to budget”. It began to be noticed in the 1960s and is still used by many companies as a basic mechanism for moving organizations.
Specifically, the six corporate activity elements are “1. Survey/analysis”, “2. Philosophy/Business domain”, “3. Business strategy”, “4. Marketing”, “5. Management”, and “6. Operation”. Classify In “1. Research/Analysis”, the environment surrounding the company/service/product and targets are analyzed, and the strategic concept is designed. In “2. Philosophy/Business domain”, we also propose redefinition of corporate philosophy/domain and redefinition of services/products.
In “3. Business Strategy,” the business strategy of the company is formulated. In “4. Marketing,” the marketing strategy for the products and services of the business is formulated. In “5. Management,” the organizational and financial measures are designed. To do. Finally, in “6. Operation”, the execution plan and KPI and KGI are designed. This enables us to find answers to every phase of a company’s and product/service challenges.

Note 3) What is execution support?

Strategists carry out strategic planning and support execution until KPI and KGI realization is called “execution support”. We thoroughly support companies by using various methods from execution to achievement of goals.
